Cherice PempengcoThursday, July 10, 2008
I did the makeup of child singer, Cherice Pempengco, for People Asia magazine. When I did her makeup, she had just gotten back from the US where she guested in the Ellen DeGeneres show.
When she arrived at the Edge of Light studio, she sat down in one corner and just listened to her iPod. We were introduced, and we got started with her hair and makeup. After about an hour, she warmed up to us, telling us her success stories and even gave us a special private performance and sang "I will always love you" by Whitney Houston. My GOD! She really is amazing! Cherice has an incredible voice, and she is such a sweet girl.
Anyhoo... let's talk about her makeup. I wouldn't usually advice girls her age to wear makeup. This is why I used colors that were on the light "girly" side. I used a lilac shadow on her lids (just a light wash) and coated her lashes with 2 coats of mascara. On her cheeks, I applied Lancôme's mousse Magie blush in Rose Lumiere. For her lips, just some Colour Fever Lipstick in "Pink to the Club", topped with clear Juicy Tubes.
