People Asia: 8 Most BeautifulWednesday, August 06, 2008
I've worked with Belle before so I more or less know the structure and contour of her face. I love working with her, she has great skin and not too much makeup is needed to enhance her beautiful features. I wanted to keep her looking fresh, youthful, and not too much made up by keeping her eyes just subtly smoky. I also didn't put too much product on her eyebrows so it looks very natural, and doesn't look painted on, structured or sculptured. As I kept saying to her on the shoot... "I want the "care-ko-lang" look for you!" Hahaha!... That means, I want her to look effortlessly beautiful, which she is.
For her lips, I wanted a stain effect so her lips would show, not the lip gloss. Belle's cheeks were the easiest to do. I just swept a natural iridescent peach blush on the apples to make her glow. A little bronzer to make her skin a bit warm and sun kissed.
