Summer is just around the corner and I am really excited to whip out my summer nail colors, starting now! At my birthday party last month, my friend Naisa gave me a set of nail polishes from China Glaze. They were all gorgeous, but it was this one that I got really excited about. It's sunshine in a bottle! (Thanks Naisaaaaa!)
In the photo it looks like a neon flat yellow shade but actually up close, it has some type of glaze (sort of pearlized). It's slightly holographic, in some light it seems like apple green. It's just gorgeous!
During this trip I am armed and ready: brightly colored outfits, sandals, tons of sunscreen and painted my hand's and feet's nails this beautiful color:
Most neon polishes make the skin in my fingers and toes look darker, but for some reason, this neon shade doesn't do that. I love China Glaze, they have such original names of their shades and gorgeous polish sets (sets like the Hunger Games Collection, Wizard of Ooh Ahz Returns, Skyfall, and more.) This shade is called Sun-Kissed.
If you are not familiar with China Glaze, their polish is comparable to Orly or OPI. This brand is also made in the USA. Consistency wise, you can use a single coat, but best if you double coat for a more intense color. I love that it is not diluted and it's not too thick either.
This is how it looks with a single coat.
This is how the polish looks when it is double coated.
Topping the nail polish with an ultra gloss polish, or a color intensifier will make the color pop even more. I love this Patent Leather Top Coat from China Glaze.
This is really sunshine in a bottle. What do you think? I'd love to know!
I'll be away for 4 days, so I'll continue posting as soon as I get back! If you want me to follow you back, just leave me a nice message below and let me know you followed me, and I will follow you as soon as I get back. BIG HUGS EVERYONE! ♥ Have a wonderful weekend!
