#productreview #spotlight

Yay! I'm one of the lucky ones who get to try Clinique's much talked about CC Cream! I am very excited because I have read so much buzz on this wonderful product! So, without further ado, here are my thoughts on Clinique's Moisture Surge CC Cream!

Clinique Moisture Surge CC Cream, PhP 1,850
Clinique says:

"Moisture Surge CC Cream SPF 30/PA+++ is infused with key hydrating ingredients from Clinique’s signature Moisture Surge. Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Water and Hyaluronic Acid instantly provide a refreshing burst of hydration while water-binding agents such as Trehalose and Sorbitol protect skin against changing humidity conditions. Skin is left instantly hydrated for all day comfort."

Ooooh, a formula that incorporates a blend of UV protection (sunscreens), tons of moisturizing properties and Vitamin E to help protect the skin from damaging environmental causes, and keep the skin looking healthy!

It's 100% fragrance free but it doesn't smell so raw. I love that it actually smells pleasant, and not too fragrant.

This is NATURAL FAIR, but the CC Cream is available in 5 different shades that address multiple complexion concerns of each individual person. The breakdown: 3 skin tone shades, and 2 illuminating shades.

SKIN TONE SHADES:
  • Natural Fair
  • Natural
  • Natural Beige
ILLUMINATING SHADES:
  • Fresh Pink -counteracts dullness and yellowness of the skin.
  • Fresh Peach -counters sallowness giving the skin a brighter appearance.

Sealed for your protection.

Clinique says:

"Moisture Surge CC Cream is a multi-functional product with a lightweight and refreshing texture that glides on effortlessly, leaving skin soft, smooth and supple. It provides moderate coverage for a natural and radiant finish. Colour stays true throughout the day. Appropriate for all skin types, the formula is oil-free, non- acnegenic, Dermatologist tested and Ophthalmologist tested."

I agree. The texture is beautiful! I love how easily it glides on the skin and it doesn't take long for the cream to "melt" into the skin giving it a nice fine appearance. It really felt like second skin.

Compared to the BB Cream, the formula is thinner and glides on smoothly. Very fine texture that has a silky finish which I absolutely love. When you dot a dollop of product on your hand, the product holds its texture, but it's a little bit more blendable than the thicker texture of a typical BB Cream.

I love finishing BB and CC Creams with loose powder. This is how it looks that is set with powder. I love how my skin looks like it's glowing and smooth! My skin looks radiant and healthy! I am thrilled that Clinique's CC Cream and I were a match made in cosmetics heaven.

PROS
  • Oil free.
  • Allergy tested.
  • Has SPF 30, which is the required minimum amount of SPF for protection.
  • Loaded with Vitamin E which aids in the skin's elasticity.
  • Ultra moisturizing!
  • Lightweight, feels like second skin.
  • Non-acnegenic.
  • Stays the whole day!
  • Non-greasy feel, light enough for men to wear too!
CONS
  • A bit costly.
  • Shades available may still be too white for the average Filipina.
