My Power 3 for Glowing Skin!Friday, January 22, 2016
After giving birth, I never had a decent night's sleep. I don't even remember how 8 hours of sleep feels like. Sleepless nights has taken a toll on my skin (aside from the zombie eye bags), my skin has been left dry, lifeless, and dull.
It's really frustrating because regular day and night creams seem to not work anymore, and not to mention, I recently turned a year older so that makes a whole lot of difference in my skin care regimen too.
After reading on Vitamin C being applied directly on the face to give the skin that power punch it needs, I am not opting now for products that are loaded with Vitamin C and masks that would wake up my tired skin. Two years ago I did a review on Perricone's Vitamin C Ester 15 which really restored the glow back to my skin.
|My Power-3 Picks: Origins GinZing Refreshing Face Mask, The Body Shop Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturizer, and The Body Shop Vitamin C Instant Glow Enhancer|
So if you are having the same problem like mine with your tired looking skin, then these products will help you restore that missing glow to your skin. This mask basically contains Coffee Beans to energize the skin, Cucumber which refreshes the skin, and Hoelen Mushroom that soothes the skin. It's really an instant skin booster in a citrus-y gel like product that you leave on your skin for 10 minutes and wash off. It does not contain Vitamin C but it does give that same effect on your skin, plus it's refreshing and it feels cool right after use.
There are two new products in the range. The Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturiser (which I will be raving about first) and the Vitamin C Instant Glow Enhancer. Both are loaded with Camu Camu berry oil, which is what gives the skin a glow as it helps to turn over skin cells and keep the skin naturally radiant. That is what I love most about these products. They're natural!
Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet which I was really glad about (for my own selfish reasons. My skin doesn't get on with cream moisturiser during the day). The smell is divine! It smells like an orange sorbet. Fresh and zesty, so try to resist sneaking a taste.
I do have one comment though, no SPF. Vitamin C can increase your photosensitivity or sensitivity to ultraviolet rays. This may make you more prone to skin problems like skin discolorations, brown spots, and freckles. So you have to have plenty of SPF when using products with Vitamin C.
This is me before applying my makeup! I used Origin's GinZing refreshing face mask and then I used The Body Shop Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturizer and then I applied the Instant Glow Enhancer on top. I love how radiant my skin looks even though I only had 3.5 hours sleep the previous night.
These three products are my instant skin pick-me-upper before preparing to attend an event. It makes me feel and look "ngarag"-free!
