For those of you who already know, I am a lippie kinda gal. Yes. I will die without lippies, specially really loud, attention grabbers, kinda lippies. I love them in all shades, even in bright orange or dark purple. Although I recently realized that deep purples do not look so good on me, I love them nonetheless.

I am not a lipgloss kinda gal, but this new lip gloss from Happy Skin may have changed my mind.

I never used to care for my brows because I had bushy ones. But ever since I got them professionally groomed for the first time about 4 years ago, I am now obsessed with brows. One of the best things about having perfectly groomed brows is that it really makes or breaks your whole look. It really does frame your face and it gives your makeup look that polished, finished look.

I have found myself reaching for Happy Skin's new Eye Love View Pencil and Marker Eyebrow Duo, well, I alternate it with my K-Palette's Lasting 2Way Eyebrow. Although I prefer K-Palette's Sponge tip-type still when doing my brows, Happy Skin's pencil type can still give you that control if you are a little bit shaky with your application.

One of the best things about wearing makeup is contouring and highlighting. If you put on your makeup without contouring or highlighting, you may as well forget about forget putting makeup altogether. Contouring and highlighting gives you dimension. Without this technique, you will look flat and lifeless.

But with this classic makeup technique can makeup you more proportion and thinner if you wish! Contouring and highlighting doesn't necessarily need to look fake, you just have to find the right contouring kit, and learn how to blend.

Having to take off makeup should be as fun as putting it on. I love the feeling of a clean face after wearing makeup the whole day. But removing makeup can be a pain, specially when you don't use a makeup remover first -or those days when you just want to crash on your bed after a long day.

I don't rely mainly on makeup remover wipes, I prefer cleansers that actually clean the face and then I still use a foaming cleanser and a toner afterwards. I am a fan of cleansing oils because they really melt away the makeup without over drying the face. The first time I tried Micellar Cleansing Water is from Lancôme's Eau Micellaire Douceur, but that comes with a hefty price tag of PhP 1,800 (and that was about 7 years ago!). And then along came BiFesta, the Micellar cleansing water from Korea which is more affordable at Php 420 for 300ml, which is a steal in our market.

Happy Monday with Happy Skin! Today is day one of the 3-Day Happy Skin Spotlight. First feature is their newly launched Gel Pencil Eyeliners! To be completely honest, eyeliners are white noise to me because I always thought that an eyeliner is an eyeliner is an eyeliner. Eyeliners' staying power depends on the skin of who's wearing it, I always thought and based on experience. But Happy Skin proved me wrong, and what I experienced in my 10 years as a makeup artist was moot.

Imagine, being in the industry for a decade: I believed in the same philosophy.  Of course there are eyeliners that I absolutely love, and more long lasting than the other, although that may be true... But wouldn't it be nice to have an eyeliner that is highly pigmented and long lasting for all types of skin type? No matter how oily their lids are? That would be just awesome.

My sister asked me to go makeup shopping with her a few days ago. She was looking for a foundation that had excellent coverage but looked very natural. I recommended Happy Skin because that is the base that I have been using recently, and have grown quite obsessed with it actually.

One of the best things about tropical countries that have no seasons is that you can wear as much pink lipsticks you want in different shades all year round. I love pink. Aside from the fact that it can brighten up any one's skin tone and face, it is the only lipstick color that photographs best.
